The JCISD employs a county truancy officer at no charge to local school districts. This truancy officer works with families and schools to improve attendance, as well as the Jackson County prosecutor to enforce school attendance laws.
Pupil Accounting
The Jackson County ISD assists local school districts with pupil accounting and reporting to the state – a vital service to districts that depend on student counts for their state foundation allowance. The JCISD also provides training and updates for other reports that schools are required by law to give to their ISD or the Michigan Department of Education.
