Data & Assessment
Jackson Countywide Common Assessments (CWCA)
Over the past five years, the JCISD, county teachers and administrators have collaborated to create Mathematics, Reading and Writing Assessments for grades 2 through 8 that align with our Grade Level Content Expectations (GLCEs) and give feedback to educators to better serve students.
The deadline for signing up to use the 2012-2013 Jackson Countywide Common Assessment is January 31, 2013. Please refer to the timeline found on the Required Forms page for more information.
*These scores include 6 - 8 school districts in the county depending on the grade level and subject area of the assessment. Not all students were assessed in every building at every level in Jackson county.
*Individual district data and scores are kept "in-house" at the local schools, not by the JCISD. Scores are not to be disaggregated or compared inappropriately. The data is posted in raw form, not manipulated into scale scores, cut scores, levels or proficiencies.
*K-1 Math and 9-10 Writing data was not included in the displayed data because these assessments were pilots in the 09-10 year.
JCISD, in collaboration with local teachers, has developed and piloted ACT-like writing assessments for 7th - 10th grade!
