The Jackson Area College and Career Connection: Jackson County's NEW Early/Middle College! The JAC3 Early/Middle College Program is a unique learning program and pathway for Jackson County high school students! Participants simultaneously earn their high school diploma, an Associate Degree, a technical/career credential, and the opportunity for employment upon graduation—all while remaining enrolled at their local high school. Join Jackson's most exciting manufacturing and educational programs for this FREE all-ages showcase and adventure through Jackson County’s STEM learning opportunities! This fun and unique exploration event will provide hands-on engineering, science and manufacturing activities – and connects students and their families to Jackson’s powerhouse of learning programs available in these fields!
The Jackson Area Career Center’s FIRST Robotics team – the Jacktown Vectors – is looking for students and adults with diverse talents to be part of this year’s robot build and competitions.Organizers will hold an informational meeting for interested students, parents, and mentors on Thursday, December 11, at 6:00 p.m. at the Career Center. Students interested in designing, building and problem-solving with an engineering focus will enjoy this group, but also needed are students interested in business and communications to promote the team, create a web site, create graphics, produce t-shirts and banners, as well as to organize fund raising activities. Be prepared to have the hardest fun you’ll ever have!

On Saturday, October 11, a total of 40 Career Center cadets either competed in or supported the State Raider championship competition. For the third year in a row, the Career Center Golden Knights hosted and WON the state competition! The first place winning team was led by Career Center Golden Knight Raiders Team Captain Lucas (Northwest), along with teammates Pavel (Northwest), Jennings (Northwest), Krystopher (Columbia), Shaylea (Columbia), Olivia (Columbia), Hunter (Hanover), Zach (Springport), Cade (Vandercook) and Lesley Heller (Hanover). Congrats to all!
