  • Available Health Insurance Plans for Families

    The School-Community Health Alliance of Michigan has been striving to make all parents aware of their health insurance options. The #1 reason families do not access health care is because they do not have insurance. Great gains have been made to get people insured this past year with the Healthy Michigan Plan (available to anyone below 133 percent of the federal poverty level) and the Health Insurance Marketplace (available to those above 133 percent).   • Free GED Prep classes now at SAU's downtown Jackson campus

    Free GED Prep classes will be held at t Spring Arbor University’s downtown Jackson campus, 113 West Michigan Ave., beginning April 8. Sessions will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9-11:30am and 5:30-8pm. The classes are offered through the Jackson Area Career Center’s Adult Career Education program.
