ASTRONOMY CAMP
Camp McGregor offers high school students unique opportunity to look at the stars
{observatory} Quietly sitting in the southwest corner of the county, far away from the city lights, is one of the most high-tech telescopes in the state of Michigan ... a fledging astronomer's dream … waiting to show spectacular views of the stars …
This summer, Jackson County high school students can take advantage of this technology – stay up all night – and learn more about astronomy from experienced teachers and university researchers during Astronomy Camp on August 16-19, at Camp McGregor. Astronomy Camp is an overnight camp where you will be guided through activities and learn about constellations, sunspots, astrophotography (print and digital), variable stars and much more!
